Back in October, I was taking my car in for an emissions issue, and on the way to the dealer,  my car shifted really hard and then I felt a vibration in my rear wheels. That vibration was my drive shaft caused by an issue from my front axle. That took my repair from about $1000 to over $6500!  I don't have that money and since it has been so long, my car has been moved to another location and I am being charged an additional $33/per day plus the towing fee of $435.

My wife and I just spent the last 6 1/2 years rebuilding our life after we lost everything in 2018 and Uhuru was my gift to myself for all my hard work.

Look, we lived in a hotel for a year and a program for homeless families for 2 years and have no intentions of going backward. We’ve been in our own home for 3 years and couldn’t be happier! In 2023 my wife and I were both able to buy cars.  This achievement allowed me to get the $1600/month Lyft express drive weight from around my neck. I could also stop working 12 and 14-hour days, 7 days a week. I was feeling confident that we would now finally be able to enjoy living in ATL, save some money, and begin to have some well-deserved quality of life. Then my car goes into the shop.

Rideshare has been my main source of income since moving to Georgia. My wife does work, but without my income, a lot of pressure ends up on her. A new job will take too long for me to generate enough money, I would never ask friends or family to borrow that amount of money, I couldn’t get a loan, my credit card company wouldn’t raise my limit, and letting the car go won't work either. Ill still be responsible for the repairs and the car payment.  To raise the funds, I am relying on my merchandise sales.

If you made this far, thank you! I truly appreciate that! 🙏
